Cumin is a dried seed, coming from the Parsley family. The flowering plant is native from East Mediterranean to India. The Indian fruit known as a Malta cultivated in the hills of Uttarakhanad, where it is used to make squash, sweets and other products , is called a Blood Orange in other places, like the United States. Bhappa Doi (Steamed Sweet Curd) Serves 5                                                                                                           Pressure Cooking Time                                                                                                                                     20 Minutes # INGREDIENTS 1 Cup Curd Beaten (250 gms) 1 Cup Milk (250 gms) 1 Tin Sweetened Condensed Milk (400 gms) 10-12 Almonds Blanched and Sliced 10-12 Pistachios Sliced 6-7 Raisins  2 Cups of Water Pinch of Saffron  1/4 tsp Cardamon Powder # PREPARATIONS Soak Saffron with Milk and put aside for 5 Minutes. Beat together Curd, Milk and Condensed Milk till well blended. Then add the saffron mixture and mix it well thoroughly. Now add Almonds, Pistachios, Raisins and Cardamon powder to the mixture and mix it well.
